Quick Update

Yesterday went pretty smoothly. The surgery took about three hours and once I was able to sit up and drink something, they let me go home. The pain this time is minimal and compared to surgery in March, I'm way ahead of where I was the first night. I do have two drains, but hopefully not for as long this time. I'm covered in dressings and wrapped in an Ace bandage, so I'm not sure yet what things look like. I can remove the dressings tomorrow to take a shower, so I'll be able to get a look then. I'm hoping to get a serious nap in today because I did not sleep any last night. I'm just not able to sleep on my back and I think the pain medicine only knocked me out for 45 minutes. I'm thinking I'll head down to the basement now and hang out in the recliner and try for some more sleep. Thanks for all of the good wishes!
