Freaky Friday
I take it as a sign that I've moved on from cancer that I have a hard time finding the time to post updates here! If you look back to the early days, there were times that I posted more than once a day. Not so much anymore.
I found out last Friday, the 13th, that my surgery is scheduled for Friday, March 13th. My friend Karole, born on Friday the 13th, says this is a lucky thing. I'll be having my surgery at the Inova hospital in Leesburg. My only experience with this hospital is Jackson's birth, and that was definitely a good one. I check in at 10:30 AM and am scheduled for surgery at noon. I think the surgery itself should take about three hours, but I've been told so many things I may have just made that up.
I go back to the plastic surgeon for my pre-op appointment next week, so I'll get some more details then.
Thankfully, I've been staying so busy that I haven't had time to come up with my usual list of things to worry about. Hopefully, that will continue. I have only two things that I'm worried about. I won't be able to eat or drink anything that day, and by noon I expect I'll be good and cranky. I also haven't been able to find out yet if all of the rooms at the hospital are private, or if I'll have a roommate. I'm convinced I'll be rooming with some crazy, loud, stinky snorer. Big problems, I know.
