Reality Bites
What I wanted to happen today:
During a very quick visit to the doctor, she would look at my drains, comment briefly on how little I was draining and remove then. Then she would fill my expanders a little bit.
What actually happened today:
During a very quick visit to the doctor, she looked at my drains, commented on how well they were draining, and decided not to remove them until my next appointment ten days from now. After I almost fell off of the table in shock, she reconsidered and said if I consistently drained less than 10 mL on each side for the next three days, she would take them out on Friday. She did not fill my expanders and won't until the drains come out. At the very least, that will be next Thursday.
