Full Stop

This morning was my last fill! I've been getting two syringe's worth on each side during each fill, but today I only got one syringe on the right side. This brought the volume on the right side even with the left side. (Just because they have the same volume doesn't mean they look even remotely similar.) Next step is the exchange, but this won't happen until August to give the muscle time to get good and stretched to this volume.

In other news, I celebrated another birthday on Monday, bringing the grand total of birthdays to 32. When you've had cancer and are as clumsy as I am, it's actually an accomplishment to make it another year. And since my next activity for the afternoon is attempting to remove a wasp's nest from above my front door, I hope this won't be my last.

Only one more week to the Race for the Cure and Hoos for a A Cure is almost to goal. If you haven't already given, please consider making a donation! www.info-komen.org/goto/melnorth

Open invitation to you and your readers to participate in the Being Cancer Book Club. This month we are discussing “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch. “...the lecture he gave ... was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment (because “time is all you have…and you may find one day that you have less than you think”). It was a summation of everything Randy had come to believe. It was about living.”
Monday is Book Club day; Tuesday Guest Blog and Friday Cancer News Roundup.
Also check out Cancer Blog Links containing almost 200 blog links and Cancer Resources with 230 referenced sites, both divided into disease categories.
Please accept this invitation to join our growing cancer blogging community at www.beingcancer.net
Take care, Dennis
