Checking In
Not a lot going on in my world these days. I'm still getting the hang of my job, which I love. Whenever you make the decision to switch jobs, there is always some uncertainty. Will this be the right move? Will they like me? Will I like them? After a month, I'm more pleased with how things are working out than I would have thought possible. Maybe I was meant to be a consultant.
The house is still coming along. I took my grandfather over today to give him the grand tour and they were hanging the siding, installing the garage door and getting ready to paint. Also, all of the doors were in the garage waiting to be installed. There's still a lot of work to do inside; floors, fixtures, appliances, cabinets, etc. I was told today that I'd probably close mid-late May. I'll be happier once I have an actual date. I've picked out rooms and rooms of furniture online; it'll be nice to have an actual house to buy some of it for. The movers are moving all of my belongings out of my apartment tomorrow and putting them in storage until the time comes. It'll be nice to be done with that apartment, but I'll miss having a place to crash when I have to be in DC early in the morning.
