Roll Out the Beige Carpet

The list of things still to do at my new house is getting shorter. The sod and landscaping have been put in. The carpet was installed today. And there is a doorknob on the front door. I suspect this was added in an attempt to keep me out after the minor hissy fit I pitched earlier in the week over a hole in the wall. Little do they know that I was working my way up to a full scale temper tantrum that was about to hit when the contractor finally agreed to fix it the way I wanted, not the way he wanted.

Last weekend I bought a lawnmower. As you can see, my yard is quite small, so I got an old-school push reel mower. Tomorrow after work I'm going to buy a washer and dryer. I think, and hope, that that will be the last thing I need to buy before I move in because I'm going to have to get a second job at Home Depot to support my appliance habit.

The final walk-through is next Wednesday and then I close one week after that.
