Work In Progress

Everyone's been asking for pictures, so here are a few. I haven't hung any pictures or curtains or anything fancy like that yet, but this will give you the general idea.

I find myself getting sucked into little projects that take way more time than I had thought they would. For example, I just spent about two hours trying to figure out how to get a towel bar off of the wall. It wasn't like any other towel bar I'd ever seen and didn't have a set screw, so I couldn't figure it out. After a trip to both Lowe's and Home Depot to examine all of their towel bars and about thirty minutes on the Internet, I found the answer. Of course, then it seemed so easy I wondered why that hadn't occurred to me earlier.

This is what it looks like from the front:
This is part of my living room and the eat-in part of the kitchen. (I think if you click on these pictures, they'll get bigger if you want to see a little better.) The kitchen. To give you a little perspective, I'm standing in front of the fireplace pictured above.
This is my bedroom. The door on the left with the light coming out is the bathroom. The dark door is the closet.
I'll have to take pictures of the guest bedroom, the office and the dining room, but they're either empty right now because the furniture hasn't come yet or I haven't picked it out yet, or because that's where all of the boxes are.

I spent most of today looking for knick-knacks and art to spruce things up with. As with all things, when you're not looking for it, you see tons of things you like. When you are looking, nothing seems quite right.

Melissa, Congratulations! Your new home is beautiful. I love your bedroom set, esp. the comforter. It looks like you have a ton of light, which is fantastic. Can't wait to see more pics!
