A Really Good Patient

I'm sitting next to Melissa as I type this. She arrived home from the hospital around 8 pm last night. It was a long, bumpy trip home, and Melissa felt every bump. She got a little more sleep last night than she did in the hospital. Unfortunately, the pain medication wears off every four hours, so she was awake that often seeking relief. Mom and Dad promised to faithfully come in and help her out each time she needed them, but she had a little trouble waking them up as they were also pretty tired from the whole ordeal. Maybe that's why Mom says she is a "really good patient."

Mel is still trying to catch up on some rest. She goes back to the doctor on Thursday to have the drains removed, which will hopefully give her some of her arm motion back. She's doing pretty well, all things considered, and appreciates all of your well wishes.
