Situation: Fluid

Just a quick update on what's going on...After being drained on Monday, the amount of fluid that has reaccumulated is minimal. There is just a little bit of fluid on the right side, but the left side, which had much more fluid, is much better. I'm skipping the doctor today and will be looked at by the plastic surgeon in the morning. I just got off of the phone with the breast surgeon and she agrees with this plan. The breast surgeon was able to arrange it so that if necessary, the drains can be put in at Winchester, but right now it looks like it might not come to that. She might have to drain a little off one more time, but hopefully that will be the end of it! I just hope the plastic surgeon is on board with this plan tomorrow.

I took a little test drive last night. I backed the car straight out of the garage so I could get the trash can out for the trash man, then pulled the car straight back in. Putting the car into gear was really hard. And that didn't involve any turning. I'm hoping I'm just going to wake up one morning soon and have full use of my arms again. I almost had to call my sister last night to come down the street and open my medicine bottle. I can do simple things that only involve moving one muscle or moving along one plane, but anything beyond that, like pushing down and turning at the same time, is just too much for my wimpy little pecs.
