Short-timer

I'm getting ready to head out to my penultimate radiation treatment. I've moved my final zap to 7:10 AM tomorrow morning and then Kristen, Josh, Jackson and I will hop in the car and head for the beach! I am definitely ready for some time to rest and recoup without anyone poking or prodding me and without exposure to poisonous chemicals or large doses of radiation. I doubt I'll have a chance to post after treatment in the morning and I don't plan on taking a computer to the beach, so this is it for the next week.

But don't think I'm abandoning you for good! There's still the fun of Tamoxifen, another surgery for my port removal and possible genetic counseling to come. I'll have to think of what comes next for the blog. I've already got a couple thoughts on posts I'd like to write, but I'm in a pretty angry place right now and I don't want that to color my posts. If you've got topics you'd like to hear about, post a comment and let me know. Matthew requested a more Wilbon/Sabato-esque rant, so I'll see what I can come up with.

See you in a week!

Melissa,

I just want you to know how happy I am for you that tomorrow is your LAST radiation treatment! I admire your courage and appreciate all the education that you've done for those of us who read your daily blog.

I hope that you have a wonderful vacation at the beach with your precious family. Tell your mom "Hi" for me! Your blogs have become a part of my daily routine so I'm sure I'll have "Melissa Blog Withdrawal" while you're away.
Be safe and enjoy yourself,
Sharon

You are in our prayers daily at home; I wish you continued strength and courage as you take each of the steps ahead. You will be GREAT!!
Have fun at the beach!
Enjoy that adorable, beautiful little boy who will soon be reaching out for you whenever he see you! :)
