Forget About It
Even though she didn't sing the song "Forget About It," last night's Alison Krauss & Union Station concert certainly helped me do just that. It was the perfect evening to just enjoy life and not think about tomorrow's impending chemo.
After a delicious meal at Georgia Brown's, we took a nice walk (in the wrong direction) and made it to Constitution Hall just in time for the concert. I don't know much about bluegrass, but Alison Krauss has an amazing voice and several times I found myself tapping my toes or fingers to the beat. It was great fun. Thank you, Matthew, for including me in this wonderful evening!
I'm as ready as I'll ever be for chemo #3, which is tomorrow at 11:00. I have a lot to do tonight so that I'm packed and ready to go to Woodstock after chemo tomorrow and to minimize what will need to be done next week when I'm feeling low. We're having a baby shower on Sunday for Kristen, so I'm hoping that this chemo is easy on me and I'll feel up to oohing and aahing over all of the little baby items.
