Nothing Exciting to Report

Today was the first day since chemo started that I've actually been hungry and had a taste for anything in particular. So I went to Baja Fresh for lunch to indulge my craving. I guess the rice and the cheese must have gotten switched on the assembly line because my bean and cheese burrito with no rice had lots of rice and no cheese. Unfortunately I didn't know this until I got back to my office and took a big bite. So disappointing!

I'm getting a little nervous about this new drug Aranesp that will be added to my chemo regimen. I thought that it would just get added to my IV but a little Internet research has me thinking it is an actual shot that I have to get in the arm or butt or stomach. I know a little needle shouldn't concern me after being cut on and pumped full of chemicals, but this is just adding insult to injury. Maybe I'll rub all potential injection sites with EMLA (the numbing cream for my port) before I leave the house and then it won't hurt.
