You Don't Know Jack
You may not know Jack yet, but you're about to meet him. My beautiful nephew Jackson was born last night at 11:31 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and is 19 1/2 inches long. Mother and baby are both doing very well. I had the privilege of witnessing his arrival into this world and it is without a doubt the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I only hope I can be as strong and brave as Kristen when I (hopefully) find myself in a similar position.
Kristen and Josh meet their little one:

Two baldies share a moment:
Last night was a late night amid the excitement of Jackson's arrival. It was hard getting up for work this morning on just a few hours sleep, but I got more sleep than Kristen and Josh, so I should be thankful. I headed over to the hospital this afternoon before my radiation treatment to see the happy family.
I've been having some discomfort in my ribs all week and I didn't think too much of it. I figured it had something to do with the couch potato I've become. While I was visiting with Kristen today, the discomfort turned to pain so intense it made me sick to my stomach. I thought I could shake it off, but when I realized I couldn't I had Mom & Dad drive me to my radiation treatment a little early. I got to see a doctor who ordered some chest x-rays and blood work. After I had my radiation treatment, I had twelve chest x-rays. Mainly because the guy taking them was an idiot. So I think I've definitely reached my radiation limit for one day. They ruled out a cracked rib, partially collapsed lung and a couple of other things and the current thinking is that I'm having a kidney stone. I got a prescription for some good drugs and I'll go see my regular doctor on Monday.
I'm waiting for the drugs to kick in and then I'll probably have a nap. I hope I'm feeling better tomorrow so I can see my beautiful nephew again soon! Have a great weekend.
