Crocodile Rock

I had the pleasure of watching Baby Jackson all day yesterday so his mom and dad could go visit friends out of town. We had a blast. We played, read books, ate, napped, babbled, played, napped, looked at a house, and played some more. I loved getting eight hours of Jackson all to myself and not having to share him.

Even though he is the sweetest seven month old baby ever, at times hanging out with him is a little bit like wrestling a crocodile that climbs on you like a monkey. He wants to crawl so badly, but he just can't quite get the legs and arms going in the right direction at the same time, yet. I know the second he figures it out, he'll be off like a rocket. Until then, he just rolls and rolls and rolls to get what he wants.

I also now understand why moms of babies and toddlers have such nicely toned arms. Carrying around 19 pounds of baby was a workout and I can feel it in my arms this morning. I guess when it's your baby, you adjust to the weight gradually as the baby grows, like adding weight in the gym. Throw in a car seat and a diaper bag and spending money on a gym membership seems like a waste!

I hope Jackson had fun yesterday, I know I did. I hope his mommy and daddy will hire me to babysit again soon!

Jackson told us that you let him eat cookies, so we will have to reconsider hiring you, especially since you are so expensive to hire!!

Seriously, thank you so much!
