One Day Down...
I survived my first day. I spent the morning in an orientation session, filling out paperwork, learning about benefits, getting my id and other administrivia. After orientation, I drove to my "home" office and met my new hire buddy. He took me to lunch with a couple of other employes and new hires then gave me a tour of the campus. That didn't stop me from getting lost on my way out. I met my project manager and my administrative manager and about a hundred other people that I probably won't remember tomorrow.
Today was a little overwhelming and there's still a lot to figure out. There were about 100 new hires in orientation this morning; they process about that number every Monday. I still need to pick up my computer and figure out how to get into email. Maybe I'll even find out what my email address is. I'm sure it'll take me a while before I feel like I have a firm grasp on how things work, but I'm excited to get started on my project and get to work!
I'll go out to Winchester tomorrow and meet everyone on the project and fill out more paperwork. Wednesday and Friday I'll work on the main campus and get acquainted with some of the other people on my team; tomorrow and Thursday I'll be in Winchester. Starting next week, I'll probably be in Winchester at least four days a week and then once I make the move completely, I'll be out there full time.

How awesome for Jackson that he has his favorite aunt planning to live so close. I have been begging my favorite aunt (Ruth) for YEARS to come live near me!
Enjoy your new job....Have a great day again tomorrow, and knock 'em dead with your talent.
Love, Suzan
ps. Zoe asked about you tonight and said to tell you "hi". :)
