Carpe Diem

Now that I'm (finally) nearing the end of this drama, I feel like I should do something to properly celebrate the fact that I'm still here. I am probably going to go somewhere fabulous with my girls this fall, but that's really to mark the fact that we all turned 30 this year. What can I do to remind myself how good it is just to be alive? I don't know that I can willingly jump out of a perfectly good airplane, but I'm open to suggestions!

Skydiving is fun and I remember when my feet hit the ground, I was very much appreciative of the fact that I was alive. It is invigorating and a good way to push yourself. However, I think you have pushed yourself a lot over the past few months. What is something that you have always wanted to do but never done? It doesn't have to be huge or daring, just something all for you. I'll keep thinking on this one and let you know.

My biggest "it's good to be alive" moments always come in natural settings. Have you ever been to the Grand Canyon? It can be a pretty powerful experience.

How about a cruise? You can visit different ports and experience a variety of cultures, book some excursions that you've never done, be pampered by the staff, eat wonderful food, and relax with your friends.
