When I lived in Charlottesville, there was a man that lived near The Corner who was afraid to cross the street. I think he now works as a radiation technician at my hospital. It's either him or a character from the Simpsons. I don't know. They've traded out the hot rads tech for this man, who I swear you would give money to if you saw him on the street. Oh well.

I had a follow up with my surgeon this morning and she said everything looked good, no lumps or bumps that she could feel. She's going to schedule my port removal for sometime in September. I need to have a new baseline mammogram about six weeks after I'm done with radiation, so October. Then again on both sides in March. Somewhere in there, I'm not sure if it's March or October '08, I'll have another MRI. October '08 seems like a really long time to wait, to me, so I'll be asking my other doctor to see if we can't do one sooner. Not that I necessarily enjoyed my MRI that much, but I don't want to give anything else the chance to take root in there. I've still got blue in my skin from surgery, she said she didn't know when that would go away.

After that appointment, I got to spend the morning hanging out with my sister and nephew. We made a trip to the outlets and had some lunch, then I had to head out for radiation. Nothing to spoil a day off like radiation. 19 down, 14 more to go. I only have five more to the whole breast and then the last two weeks will be "boosts" directly to the former site of the tumor.

We enjoyed spending the day with you, Aunt Lissy. You are so close to being done with all of this mess and we can't wait...We will have to have a big shopping trip to celebrate that day!
