Dirrty
One of the items on the long list of Do's and Don'ts for chemo is to avoid crowded public places like movie theaters, concerts, public transportation, etc. so that you aren't exposed to any cooties while your immune system is recovering from chemo. Since I don't have to start following those orders until Thursday, I thought I would see how many "Don'ts" I could squeeze in tonight.
My friend Margaret and I will be going to the Christina Aguilera concert tonight at the Verizon Center. She (Christina) has some sort of partnership with Lifetime Television for their Stop Violence Against Women campaign and I work with a lot of people from Lifetime, so we'll be attending as their special guests. Thanks, Lifetime! I'll also be taking the Metro to get there, a germ-fest I'll definitely be avoiding come Thursday. If I can find the time, I may also engage in other questionable behaviors like having a beer and eating sushi.
